With local competition like Bonchon and BBQ Chicken I wanted to give KTown a shot, but a more apt comparison would be KFC.  That being said, KTown is better than KFC, but it's also more expensive.

The chicken is thick battered and crispy, resulting in the occasional deep fried batter tumor sticking out of the chicken.  It isn't overly salted and the chicken itself tastes fresher than KFC.  The fries come with the chicken are unremarkable, but good.

KTown isn't bad, but given the walking distance competition in Allston, that isn't enough.

    ***FRAUD***
***DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM HERE***

We ordered chicken and the owner asked us how much we wanted to tip the driver. We told her we would tip 4 bucks. When the driver got here, he kept saying we had to tip him and I refused multiple times saying that we already payed him. He kept yelling "I don't speak english" and pressured me into signing it. I told him I made myself clear and I wasn't going to. He picked an amount himself(over15%) and signed it HIMSELF(FRAUD) and left.

I called the owner and she was not helpful at all. She kept saying that even if I get my money back, I'm going to feel bad for them later. She said "how hard do you think their lives would be if they make money off tips." Why the hell would I feel bad after the guy forged my signature and I got ripped off? I asked her if she could cancel the 4 dollars I tipped her and she kept making up some nonsense.  Honestly think they are in the same boat.

Already called the police. Do not EVER ORDER FROM HERE.

The food was absolutely terrible that I was genuinely glad that it came in such minuscule amount for the price, since I would have thrown them away anyway. There are lots of other options around, so save your precious time and money by just avoiding this place.

DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! My boyfriend and I went to get takeout. A simple order -- chicken with a side of French fries and steamed rice. When we got home and opened up our food we found the chicken, a HANDFUL of fries, and NO rice. Instead, we got raw potatoes in water. See picture below. When I called to complain, and ask for compensation, the woman fought me on the phone and basically gaslighted me to believe I never ordered rice in the first place. This was literally 5-10 minutes after I had just ordered it. I continued to persist that I did, and eventually told her that this is HORRIBLE customer service, and that we deserve compensation. She then pretended to not understand English, even though she spoke perfect English in person. Never go to K-town. They are liars. They are thieves

Do not order from this place, especially on Uber Eats. We ordered about $40 worth of chicken and what arrived were three small boxes of chicken: 10 pieces of chicken were $23 (almost $2/SMALL PIECE) and the sides--french fries--were countable. They do not specify sizes and portions on Uber Eats.

When we called to clarify what we received, the customer service was hard to communicate with and unfriendly.

This was a complete rip-off and I would not recommend anyone to order from here.
